Willow Tree - three years old and over 500 families supported!
In the past 3 years since Willow Tree began there have been 524 referrals. 120 of these have been during the pandemic.
We give thanks to God for his generosity in bringing together people’s skills and time, and for all the donations received. Thanks go especially to Jenny and Fred Percy who work many hours each week to serve local families.
Jenny also wanted to share some good news.....JoJo Maman Bebe (a children’s clothing company) has donated two large cartons of clothing packs to Willow Tree. It’s such a blessing, and enables us to bless so many families in our area during this difficult time.
The Willow Tree is a project to support local families in need by providing clothing & equipment for 0-2 year olds, which has been donated by many of the wonderful friends & contacts we have. Families are referred by agencies that we are partnering with (healthcare, social services, schools, other charities etc) Find out more at the Willow Tree website and keep up to date with what donations we need on our Facebook page.
Plans to redevelop our buildings
Chadwell Heath Baptist Church is making plans to update the current church site.
Thank you to everyone who submitted their comments and feedback, and contributed to our public consultation that we held in August 2020. The consultation period has now finished but you can still view the plans online, listen to the webinar and read the FAQs.
Press release - 19th October 2020
Chadwell Heath Baptist Church has been working with and serving the local community for over 100 years.
We listen to, and care deeply for those in our neighbourhood. We are distressed following the events of yesterday where our building was vandalised.
The person seen was not part of our church, nor had we seen him prior to yesterday. We are thankful no one was hurt and do not want this to affect our ministry.
We continue to pray for everyone in Chadwell Heath and will do our best to serve the community now and in the future.
Noahs Ark - Covid-19 update
We've really missed running Noah's Ark for the last six months, but we've reviewed the current Government guidance and we don't feel that we can re-open safely at the moment.
We will regularly review this as guidance changes, and will post any updates on here.
