Praying together for: Hope 4 Barking Dagenham

Hope 4 Barking Dagenham (H4BD) aims to provide an all-year seven-day emergency temporary accommodation, for around 15 people sleeping rough in Barking and Dagenham. They offer the service free of charge to guests. Guests gain support to receive:
• benefits and permanent accommodation.
• emotional spiritual care
• hands-on support.
• a safe, secure and warm place to sleep,
• a shower, clean clothes, a hot meal and breakfast
• support they need to rebuild their life
• help to deal with their problems

 

Accommodation is provided for:
• single men or women
• who slept rough
• not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and had no record of violence and abuse.

Hope 4 Barking Dagenham (H4BD) represents the churches of Barking and Dagenham working in partnership to demonstrate God’s love and compassion for the homeless in the Borough. It brings hope to the hopeless and homeless of Barking & Dagenham.

Whilst staying at H4BD, they see God’s love and care for them in action and have the opportunity to hear how God loves them and how they can have a relationship with Him.

H4BD receives support from Barking Churches Unite (BCU), Barking & Dagenham Churches, Hope 4 Havering, Metropolitan Police, Barking & Dagenham Council, Greggs, Bakery, Nandos, Fareshare, KFC and Costco.

 

Pray points

You can help a homeless person in Barking and Dagenham by praying for:
1. God to pour out His Holy Spirit on guests and volunteers of those involved in H4BD
2. Guidance and wisdom in the leading of H4BD
3. God’s love, compassion and presence to be evident in all that H4BD does
4. People to be brought to salvation and a deeper walk with God
5. Guests to rebuild their lives
6. The extension of H4BD to 12 months a year
7. Greater links between agencies
8. The housing situation in the Borough and Nation
9. Others wanting to start homeless shelters in other places
10. Longer term venue security
11. Increased funding; and for
12. More volunteers & churches support.
